What do you like best about working for Summersgill CPA: Our clients of course! Working in public accounting has given me the opportunity to meet new people and help them with their tax and financial needs. It is very rewarding when you can help someone out of tax debt or help a business owner make sound financial decisions.
If you could do another job just for one day, what would it be? I would love to be a neonatologist doctor for a day. I am sure it is a very stressful job, but also the most rewarding. Our son was born premature and his doctor was awesome. It must be such a rewarding experience to save the life of a premature baby.
Where is the best place you've traveled to and why? Cefalu, Sicily Italy. It was just beautiful! It sits on the Tyrrhenian Sea and is a quaint historic town. It has beautiful beaches along with old world charm.
What is your best business advisory related tip for businesses? Learn to manage your cash flow effectively. Many business owners just look at the bottom line of their profit and loss statement but have no idea how much cash they need to operate their business on a monthly basis.
People would be surprised to know: I like to fish!
What is the best book you have ever read? I am not an avid reader, but when I find the time I do like to read crime series books. My favorite is the Dr. Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell.
What is your personal philosophy? Be genuine, honest, kind and always have a sense of humor.
